Celebrating Social Care: Honouring Our Incredible Team at Bluebird Care Cannock & Great Wyrley
This April, we’re proud to join Skills for Care in marking the fifth year of #CelebratingSocialCare, a month dedicated to recognising the compassion, skill, and dedication of the people who make social care what it is.
At Bluebird Care Cannock & Great Wyrley, we’re incredibly proud of our amazing team of 33 professionals who work tirelessly to support adults to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes. Since opening in 2006, we’ve been honoured to serve our community for nearly 20 years and our commitment to outstanding care remains as strong as ever.
Every single day of the year including holidays, weekends, and special family moments, our team is out there making a difference. Their kindness, resilience, and dedication never go unnoticed.
This month, we want to shine a light on some of the incredible individuals who help make our service exceptional.
🌟 Celebrating Our Long-Serving Team Members

Bethany Anslow — Joined 2018
Longest-serving care worker! Bethany has worn many hats during her time with us: care worker, field care supervisor, and now care assistant after welcoming her beautiful children. Despite the many changes she’s seen within the company, her exceptional standards of care have never wavered. Beth is a trusted, valued team player who always reports the important details and provides meaningful feedback. We’re so grateful for her continued dedication.

Sam Taylor — Joined 2012
Our Care Manager with 14 years of service! Sam began her journey with Bluebird Care as an apprentice and has grown through multiple management roles before becoming our Care Manager in 2017. She lives by the belief:
If I look after the care staff, the care staff will look after the people we care for.
Her leadership, compassion, and commitment to her team are at the heart of our success.

Hayley Turner — Joined 2017
9 years of service! Hayley, one of our fantastic Field Care Supervisors, has built strong, positive relationships with both staff and customers. She brings warmth, humour, and a can-do attitude to every situation. Hayley always says she would never expect staff to do anything she wouldn’t do herself and she truly leads by example.

Amy Wilson — Joined 2017
Care Coordinator — soon to be Field Care Supervisor Amy joined the office team with hands-on experience from the field and has flourished ever since. With her bubbly personality and natural rapport with staff and customers, she works hard to ensure everyone feels supported and valued. We’re excited to see her continue to grow in her new role.
☕ Recent Team Activity: Staff Meeting
We recently held a staff meeting where our team came together to share updates, celebrate achievements, and discuss ways to continue improving the care we deliver. These moments of connection are vital as they strengthen our teamwork, communication, and shared purpose.

🌈 Team Achievements & Shoutouts
A Heartfelt Thank You to Helen Perry
We received wonderful feedback from Claire Jones:
I'd like to shout out about Helen Perry. It was greatly appreciated that she picked me up and drove me back home every day for my 3 days training. It was a pleasure to do training with her and to get to know how passionately she enjoys her job. A genuine caring person and made for the job in my opinion.
Helen — thank you for your kindness, passion, and dedication.
Specialist Training Achievements
Epilepsy & Administration of Buccal Midazolam
Five of our care staff have completed specialist training in emergency rescue medication, ensuring our customers can continue enjoying social interaction safely: Lucy France, Alice Thornley, Claire Jones, Natalie Rose, and Tammy Russell. We’re incredibly proud of their commitment to learning and preparedness.
