Bluebird Care Camden & Hampstead are delighted to be hosting the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Contact the Elderly on the 18th of October.

Contact the Elderly is the only national charity solely dedicated to tackling loneliness and social isolation among older people.

The charity is supported by a network of volunteers, and organises monthly Sunday afternoon tea parties for small groups of older people, who are aged 75 and over, who live alone. These gatherings offer a regular and vital friendship link every month.

Director of Bluebird Care Camden and Hampstead, George Morris, happens to know the charity’s North London Development Officer Isabella Wise, whose father actually started the charity 50 years ago.

Bluebird Care Camden & Hampstead are hosting the celebrations and organising an afternoon of fun on Sunday October 18th. The afternoon will be full of entertainment, including singers, jazz players and a magician providing some entertainment on the day. We are expecting 50 members from the North London group of contact the elderly and also several of our customers will be joining us for the afternoon.
