Calderdale safeguarding adults board offer many various online resources to help understand safeguarding a little better.

Safeguarding week aims to raise awareness of key topics regarding safeguarding adults and children. Safeguarding is applicable to adults who are not capable of protecting themselves thus needing care or those individuals who can be subject to neglect or abuse. Therefore, a mixture of resources is available by clicking on the link below to access many resources and helpful information regarding safeguarding adults.

Safeguarding adults training webinar series

The six-week training course will include topics such as information sharing, relevant legislation & regulations impacting adult safeguarding, and the different types of abuse.

Mental Capacity Act (MCA) training webinar series

This legislation allows individuals with diminished capacity who cannot make decisions of their own to be protected during that time.  This webinar provides information on how to assess a certain person capacity and procedure of the decision-making process that suits the individual best interest and their wishes.
