Celebrating Social Care: Honouring Our Incredible Team at Bluebird Care Burton & Swadlincote

This April, we’re proud to join Skills for Care in marking the fifth year of #CelebratingSocialCare,  a month dedicated to recognising the compassion, skill, and dedication of the people who make social care extraordinary.

At Bluebird Care Burton & Swadlincote, we are incredibly proud of our dedicated team who work tirelessly to support adults to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes. Every single day of the year, including holidays, weekends, and special family moments, our care professionals are out there making a real difference. Their kindness, resilience, and commitment never go unnoticed.

This month, we’re shining a light on some of the incredible individuals and achievements that make our branch truly special.

Keri Social Care

🌟 Longest‑Standing Care Staff

We are proud to celebrate Keri Adcock, who has been part of the Bluebird Care Burton & Swadlincote family for 8 years. Keri’s dedication, compassion, and consistently high standards of care have made her a trusted and valued member of our team. Her commitment to supporting both customers and colleagues sets a shining example for everyone around her.

I have been employed with Bluebird Care for the past eight years, during which time I have progressed through several roles including Care Assistant, Senior Care Assistant, and my current position as Care Supervisor. Throughout my journey, Bluebird Care has provided me with valuable opportunities to develop my skills and advance professionally. I have successfully completed my Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care and I am currently nearing completion of my Level 3 qualification.

During my time with Bluebird, I have consistently felt supported and valued. The management team has always been approachable and responsive, offering guidance and encouragement whenever needed. This supportive environment has enabled me to grow in confidence, expand my knowledge, and strengthen my practical and leadership skills.

A particularly rewarding aspect of my role has been working closely with our customers. Supporting individuals in their own homes has allowed me to build meaningful relationships based on trust, respect, and empathy. I take pride in promoting independence while ensuring each person receives compassionate, person-centred care tailored to their unique needs. It is incredibly fulfilling to make a positive difference in people’s daily lives, whether through providing personal care, emotional support, or simply being a reliable and friendly presence.

In addition, I have had the privilege of working alongside a dedicated team of colleagues who have been consistently supportive and inspiring. Their commitment to delivering high-quality care motivates me to continue developing both personally and professionally.

I am proud to be part of the Bluebird Care team and look forward to continuing my journey, further enhancing my skills and contributing to the excellent standard of care Bluebird provides.
