Care Assistant of the Month

Published: 28/01/2016

Congratulations to Monica Iova who is our care assistant of the month for January 2016!

Caring for her late sister was so rewarding that our Care Assistant of the Month for January 2016, Monica Iova, decided to swap a job in construction sales for helping people to remain safe and independent at home.
Originally from Romania, where she attended a civil engineering university, Monica became a sales area supervisor, but craved a change in career. Drawing on her personal experience, she came to the UK and retrained with Bluebird Care.
After joining us just three months ago, she has already demonstrated her amazing commitment and dedication.
Owner Anne Inglis said:
“Nothing ever seems to be too much trouble for Monica. She always puts the welfare of our customers at the heart of everything she does and is a wonderful example to all care professionals.
She also appreciates the importance of timely and accurate communication and feedback. This is greatly appreciated by her customers and their families, and the Bluebird Care office team. High calibre carers such as Monica understand that if communication is poor, it unnecessarily makes the delivery of high quality care a greater challenge that it ought to be, so we thank Monica for her communication, which is always clear and concise. She is a deserving winner of the Care Assistant of the Month.”

“This job is all about people, so although my sister was young when I cared for her, it doesn’t really make a difference that most of my customers are older. As long as I see a smile on their face, that’s what makes my day worthwhile.
You become a big part of your customer’s lives and it’s very rewarding when they thank you from the bottom of their hearts!”
