Carer of the month

Jasminka Korparic

We are delighted to announce Jasminka Korparic as our Carer of the Month for March!  Jasminka joined Bluebird Care in October 2019, and she has been a delightful carer during her time here, naturally gentle and uplifting.

Jasminka has a positive attitude, is always smiling and is a favourite of both her customers and her colleagues alike.  She is very flexible and obliging in her role, keen to make sure she delivers her outstanding standards to everyone she spends time with. Well done Jasminka for your hard work, dedication and for all the help you offer ‘over and above’

Whilst we recognise that all our care staff are amazing, hardworking and such a caring team, the runner up slot this month goes to Sadia Rasheed.   She receives many compliments from her customers about her caring nature.

Well done Sadia, keep up your hard work.

We also wanted to give a “shout-out” to Danijela and Elena who have been complimented by a number of customers as going ‘above and beyond’ over the last month.

We will also be looking forward to welcoming our new   care staff at our next induction in April.

We would like to congratulate Zoe Gaut on her promotion to Senior Carer.  Congratulations on your new position Zoe!

Coronavirus Update

As you will likely be aware, the government has switched to tactics aimed at delaying its spread, rather than containing it. It comes after the World Health Organization labelled the outbreak of the disease as a pandemic.

We want to reassure you, and to highlight some of the actions we are taking to manage this situation, and the preventative measures we have discussed with our staff to avoid the spread of the infection.

We understand that many of you who receive our care services are older adults who may have health conditions and we also recognise our responsibilities in ensuring the support we provide remains safe.

Our management team are in regular contact with all our employees and we have reminded all Bluebird Care staff of the precautionary measures that they need to be taking. This includes good hand and respiratory hygiene and we have provided all employees with detailed guidance on the subject.

As it can be difficult to predict how things will develop over the coming days, weeks and indeed months, we have established a small internal team comprising of different roles and expertise in the organisation who have been tasked with monitoring developments on a daily basis.

In the meantime, we would be very grateful if you contact the office if either you, or anyone living or in close contact with you such as family or friends develop aa new continuous cough or a high temperature (of 37.8 degrees or higher) or have any plans to visit the Category 1 or Category 2 areas on the governments specified countries and areas list. I appreciate that this will be unlikely, however, we are keen to ensure that we are taking all necessary steps. More information on the specified areas and countries can be found here:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-specified-countries-and-areas/covid-19-specified-countries-and-areas-with-implications-for-returning-travellers-or-visitors-arriving-in-the-uk

It is important that liquid soap and paper towels are available for the care staff to enable them to maintain good hand hygiene so can you ensure they have access to this within your home.  We’ve included the NHS guidance for hand washing for your information.

I trust that you found this update helpful and we will, of course, continue to keep you updated on any developments in relation to this matter. Should you have any further questions or queries please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the office.

Best wishes as always …………….ANNE, NICKY & CINDY .
