St. Christopher's Fun Walk, 2015

Published: 17/05/2015

One sunny Sunday in May, a specially-selected team of seasoned ramblers were parachuted in to represent Bluebird Care (Bromley) at the annual St Christopher’s Hospice “Fun Walk” around Keston Common…

The St Christopher’s Hospice "Fun Walk" aims to raise money to contribute to the care costs of terminally-ill people who choose spend their remaining days at home.

A well-worthy cause and one close to our hearts, this was definitely an event for us to take part in!

3,000 walkers and dogs took part - the biggest ever turnout to an incredibly sunny Keston Common! £165,000 was pledged in advance and the charity hoped to hit their £200,000 target when all donations were finally received for this amazing event, now in its 25th year!

It was an enjoyable afternoon, the sun was out to support us and we were rewarded afterwards with hard-earned shandies and sausages!

Special thanks to Amanda for arranging our participation and to Carley, Jo, Karen, Keith, Lauren, Olga, Shireen & Yasmin for giving up your time on a glorious weekend!

If you would like to be involved in our next charity event, or have any ideas for future events for us, please get in touch!
