Our second event at Cooling’s Garden Centre was a bulb planting afternoon which took place in a behind-the-scenes location usually closed off to the public, which was particularly enlightening to those attending - a group comprised of Bluebird Care customers and a few family members, with a few of our carers on hand for additional support.

A Cooling’s gardener demonstrated the best way to plant the bulbs and gave tips on watering which will help the bulbs grow and develop to their full potential. Everyone then followed their suit, planting their own daffodil bulbs in a whicker basket to take home and nuture until Spring, 2018.

The group then moved into Arthur’s Restaurant where an area was reserved for everyone to sit together and enjoy a cream tea. It was lovely to see smiles on faces and hear the happy chatter – a joyous afternoon enjoyed by all!
