After 18 months of only being able to speak to prospective care assistants virtually, Bluebird Care Bristol are glad to be back meeting people face to face.

Bluebird Care Bristol were delighted to attend a recruitment fair at The Guildhall in Bath on Tuesday 21st September; this was the first in-person recruitment event since the beginning of the Covid – 19 pandemic.

The recruitment fair was hosted by Bath & North East Somerset Council and Proud to Care to encourage those interested in the Health & Social Care sector to come in and have a chat with a range of local care companies.

Two representatives of Bluebird Care Bristol recruitment team were present throughout the event. Emily and Wednesday spent the day talking to prospective Care Assistants and networking with members of the community.

Commenting on the event, Emily, the Marketing, Social media & Recruitment lead, said “We love being able to connect with our community and providing an insight into the importance of the Health & Social care sector, and the integral role of care assistants in society.”

The event was a positive experience after a year and a half of speaking to people through phone calls and zoom.

Reflecting on her time at the recruitment fair, Wednesday, HR & Recruitment Officer said “It was so lovely getting back out and meeting prospective applicants and other providers in the community. It was a good turnout at the Guildhall and it’s looking like we have some lovely new Care Assistants joining our team from the event.”
