1. University of Bristol Botanic Garden

All external areas of this garden are currently open, but indoor areas are remaining closed until Covid restrictions have lifted further, this is also a ticket only garden. The garden is home to a range of different plant collections, allowing you to experience the world of plants through different zones, with plenty of information for you to read throughout.

Look at the University of Bristol website to find out more about the collections, to book tickets, and take a look at their guided tours

4. Brandon Hill Nature Reserve

This area is a haven for wildlife for over 30 years, and it is very unassuming in the centre of Bristol. At the top of the hill, you can see a view of the city towards the River Avon. A nice nature retreat in the middle of the urbanicity of the city.

This area has no entry fee, so is great if you are on a budget. Find out more here.

5. BBC Bristol Wildlife Garden

A garden created to promote native plant species growth in the area, which in turn supports the fauna of the local area. Much like the Brandon Hill nature reserve, this garden provides some respite from the business of the city that surrounds it.
