Clapping for Carers

Tonight was one of the first #clapforcarers or #clapforkeyworkers and we absolutely loved it. If you aren't aware of what this new trend is, it is a time when members of the public go outside at 20:00pm and clap for the Carers and Key Workers who are working around the clock to keep all the essential services running.

We were of course out in force, and it was a humbling experience, all Key workers should be appreciated each and every day, but to see people lining the streets clapping and cheering for them all really brought a tear to our eye. Some of our Care Assistant's were out with their families showing support for their colleagues who were still out working at 20:00pm and many of them had their families with them too!

Our Care Assistant Andrea was one of those who was accompanied but her 2 children during the clap, and as you can see from the photo, they created a gorgeous banner showing appreciation for the NHS!

We hope to see more and more people get involved in this acitivity every Thursday, as it can provide such a morale boost for those who are working and for those who are stuck inside due to isolation or working from home.

Should you wish to get involved, please do! We are sure all the Key workers around your area will appreciate your claps for them.

Make sure you are adhereing to government guidelines and remaining 2 meters apart from eachother during this activity.
