Our Learning Disability Services

We are thrilled to be working with the National Autistic Society to gain their accreditation. The programme will better equip us to provide a more focused autism service.

Accreditation: National Autistic Society

We are in the process of completing the accreditation with the National Autistic Society to become a specialist provider of support and care for people living with Learning Disabilities.

Our Learning Disability service is lead by Nicola Christy, our Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN). She said: “We are very excited to be working with the National Autistic Society to gain their accreditation. It is a very intensive programme that will better equip us to provide a more focused autism service with better outcomes for our customers”.

Positive Behaviours Support Training

Nicola, our Community Psychiatric Nurse, has now completed the Positive Behaviour Support Training Programme.

Nicola has set up several training days for our Support Workers to provide the team with additional guidance on implementing positive behaviour support and improving the quality of the service for customers with Learning Disabilities.

One of our Support Worker's that has already attended one of these training sessions said: "The session was great! I have a much better understanding of how and when to use positive behaviour support with my customers!"
