Charity warns pandemic has led to 1.4m people aged 60+ eating less and at greater risk of being malnourished

The elderly are struggling to eat a healthy amount of food which can cause a decline in health and it is difficult to check for the signs of lack of appetite.

Statistics show that 49% of people say that the coronavirus pandemic has made it harder to shop despite finding it difficult as it is anyway. Age UK urging those to check on thier loved one, to see whether or not they are eating and drinking. So, if you know someone who is worried about their appetite, they can take the following steps:


• Speak to your GP
• Eat small meals & snacks throughout the day
• Try to introduce a routine
