Shabir Hussain, CEO at Bluebird Bradford, believes that having excellent training is essential to providing home care: “Clients want to know that our carers are highly competent. It allows them to safely transfer their trust for care to us. When Clients discover the variety, technical complexity and volume of training our Carers undergo, they often express surprise, as well as relief. Care is not amongst the highest paid of professions, and we find that sometimes there is an incorrect assumption that carers are not well trained. That certainly is not the case with us. We believe in investing heavily in our staff and their training.”
Shabir Hussain
Delivering the highest quality of homecare and support is Shabir’s goal at Bluebird Care. He says “The care Bluebird provides has a huge impact on our customers' lives. Bluebird Care provides care that I would want for my own mother, father or other family members. Bluebird Care employs colleagues who are passionate about providing care. We empower them through good training and by giving them freedom to make decisions. Bluebird Care customers maintain their independence because they have complete control of the care they receive."
Gail Fletcher
Gail Fletcher is our Assistant Care Manager and has worked in care for 9 years. Her role involves managing our team of Care Coordinators and Supervisors. She says “What matters most to me is that customers feel safe, respected, and listened to. I am passionate about end-of-life care and ensuring the people we support feel they are in safe, compassionate hands.” When she’s not a work, her favourite thing to do is taking long walks in the countryside with her border collie, Seth.
Diane Holdsworth
Diane has a huge amount of experience of providing care and as our Registered Care Manager she has a range of qualifications she draws on for her work, including Train The Trainer, Infection Prevention, Safeguarding, Medication and Moving & Handling. When she isn’t working, Diane loves playing Bingo, walking in the country, socialising, and spending quality time with her family. She also loves holidays abroad, where she often visits ancient archaeological sites.
