The regional awards ceremony took place at a Gala Dinner hosted at ICC, Birmingham on Tuesday 27th July 2021. We had 5 nominations in the award ceremony.

We were nominated for the Home Care Team Award.  The criteria for this award were for a team who can best demonstrate a shared vision and agreed goals. The team should have a leader whose role is known and accepted and who takes personal responsibility for their tasks. Teams should have an excellent communication process and each member’s skills should be recognised within the team. We are over the moon to have been presented with this award, which demonstrates our commitment to dignity and privacy for our clients, and respect for every one of our team members.

Under the Category of “Home Care Worker award” we had 3 nominations, Amanda, Desislava and Nassrat.

This award recognises the significance of the role of the Home Care Worker in consistently providing a high quality standard, for people living in their own homes. Evidence of dedication, awareness of colleagues and career development through training were important elements.

Our Lead Care assistant Desi won the award for her dedication towards work and  for her hard work.

Reacting to the awards Bluebird Care’s Director Sue said: "We are over the moon to become the winner of these Awards which demonstrates the hard work and commitment of the team and to achieve the shared vision and goal we set. We put the Customer first approach on each of our decision and we are really proud to be a winner for that. We would like to sincerely thank all our Customers for being kind and showing great attitude of politeness towards each of our care calls; we wouldn’t have achieved such a great honour without our amazing and wonderful customers. It’s a Dream come True moment for us when we received the award. Also thanks to all of our fantastic care staffs and office team who consistently and professionally deliver quality service.  We would also like to thank the Bluebirdcare Franchise team Duncan Berry (previous CEO); Paula Spriggs; Neil Murray and Hannah Banfield for giving us trainings; suggestions; and trusting us in each and every part of our movement. “

On winning the Home Care worker award Desi expressed her happiness for being announced winner “I love to make our customers day happy and take care of the smallest details. There life is in their home so it is our job to make their lives the best it can be.”
