Bluebird Care (Birmingham North) is led by Suresh Dakshinamurthy and Sumathi Manickam. They started delivering homecare in Birmingham North to help support customers in the area to receive homecare and support while remaining in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Delivering the highest quality of homecare and support is our absolute goal and the team would be delighted to hear from anyone who is seeking homecare for themselves or for a loved one, or would simply like to talk to someone about the services we provide.

Operations Head / Director
Sue Manickam provides strong, strategic leadership to Bluebird Care so we can provide the best homecare services. Efficiently manages the day to day running of the business. Allocate resources and monitor performance to deliver high quality homecare to customers within budget. Manages all aspects of the staff team and provide sound leadership to ensure staff are clear about their respective duties and responsibilities and have the support they need to carry out their roles safely.
Sue has worked as a Senior Physiotherapist as various NHS setups for 10 years. She has worked in various departments such as acute health, rapid response team and intermediate care setting and community services in UK NHS. In acute hospitals she has the experience in working closely with hospital discharge teams and rapid response team. She also has the experience in working closely with the various consultants, OTs, Nurses, social workers, health care assistants and all these experience has helped her role in Bluebird Care.
Sue’s personal target is to put all of her skills, knowledge and experience to ensuring Bluebird Care Birmingham East provides the highest standards of care to all our customers, both current and future, delivered by our friendly and dedicated team of professional care workers and office staff.

I have worked within the care sector for over 25 years with a focus on independent living for the elderly, ensuring they are Safe Guarded against any harm and remain as independent as possible, for as long as possible. This is something that I feel passionate about. I believe that individuals have the right to receive a high-quality support and care service delivered by a professional team who respect Citizens rights to access resources available, to help them to maintain and achieve independence and individuality within their own home.
I have developed personally and gained extensive experience in all areas of Social Care and Housing. I work closely with professionals, outside agencies and individuals, thus building good working relationships in order to provide a high-quality service and positive outcomes. I am dedicated to my role as Care Manager within the social care sector and understand the importance of Government Legislation.
I actively practice the fundamental standards set out by the Care Quality Commission to enable the Safeguarding of vulnerable adults. I have the skills required to build professional relationships with clients, families and other health professionals and commissioning bodies, to ensure the care being provided is effective and enhances quality of life.
I have the skills needed to remain part of and lead a team, ensuring they are sufficiently supervised, trained and coordinated in order to achieve positive goals and outcomes. I look forward to seeing the business grow and taking on new challenges ensuring that the Bluebird Brand will continue to gain a High reputation with the help of all of the wonderful hard-working team of carers.

I currently work as the office administrator for Bluebird Care. I have not done administration work before but I do have almost four years of experience in the customer service industry.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my fiance, catching up on my Netflix series, performing in plays and reading. Also, I recently graduated University in lockdown and completed my degree in acting with a 1st Class Honours. I moved to Blackpool for three years, with my fiance, to complete my degree, which was an amazing experience. In that time I worked as a scare actor for Blackpool Pleasure Beach and performed in the Winter Gardens.
However, now I am ready to work hard and excited to be a part of the Bluebird Care team.

After 1 year working with Bluebird Care they offered me to start my NVQ 3, which I am almost finished. To appreciate my hard work, they made me Lead Care Assistant.
