New Dementia Champion

We would like to congratulate Lorraine McKenna who is our new dementia champion.

As part of our commitment to provide high quality services we announced last month that we are introducing a number of key new roles which are designed to develop and train our staff as care champions.

We would like to congratulate Lorraine McKenna who has been promoted to be our new dementia champion.

Lorraine started with Bluebird Care Bedford in September 2015 and demonstrated a real passion for care and has flourished in her care assistant role. Lorraine completed the dementia tour training in July that a number of our staff took part in.

Alongside her regular duties she will be supporting staff in the field and she will be working closely with Lyn-Marie to put together some more dementia workshops for our staff in the near future.
