Meet The Team!

Introducing Gill Hawkins, one of our newest members of the team!

‘I have been working at Bluebird Care Bedford for just over a month and I can’t believe how quickly it has gone! It’s such a nice change from my previous roles which were mainly office based as each day is different and the time flies by!

I am really enjoying the caring and companionship side of the role. It’s a joy to get to know our customers, hear their stories about their fascinating lives and because I am in their home it is lovely to be able to connect with people in their own environment. I have also found that I have a lot in common with our customers and it’s a privilege to be able to build relationships with our customers.

I can’t quite believe how much I have learnt over the last few weeks and I am still continuing to learn more each day. It has been quite an eye opening and completely new experience providing care and support to those who need it.

I have really enjoyed the training I was given and feel very supported by the office team as well as my fellow care assistants. I am looking forward to learning more about my role in the next few weeks and months as well as continuing to build those special relationships with our customers.’
