Bluebird Care Bedford is supporting Nutrition & Hydration week again this year, which runs from 14th -20th March 2022. Nutrition and Hydration Week has taken place every March since 2012.

This is a national awareness week we have supported numerous times in the past as we promote the importance of good nutrition & hydration amongst our customers as well as our staff.

We are hoping to raise awareness of good nutrition & hydration as well as promote the importance of maintaining healthy eating within our local area.

‘Nutrition and Hydration Week’s mission is…

To create a global movement that will focus energy, activity and engagement on nutrition and hydration as a fundamental element of maintaining the health and well-being for our global community.’

There are around 3 million people at risk of malnutrition in the UK and over 25 million in G7 countries. Nutrition & Hydration week helps to raise awareness of the risks of malnutrition and promotes good practises that help to prevent malnutrition and dehydration. Preventing malnutrition and dehydration improves general health and wellbeing, reducing the strain on our health and social care systems.
