We held an Afternoon Tea in aid of Carers in Bedfordshire

On Sunday 19th August Bluebird Care (Bedford) held an Afternoon Tea in aid of Carers in Bedfordshire.
The event was a huge success and would like to thank everyone who came along, who made a donation and supported this amazing cause. Over £550 was raised on the day.
Bluebird Care (Bedford) have been supporting Carers in Bedfordshire throughout 2018 as their nominated Charity of the Year.
 
During National Carers Week (11th -17th June) Bluebird Care (Bedford) held a cake & craft sale on Wednesday 13th June, which raised over £250.
Gemma Gough, Care Assistant at Bluebird Care (Bedford), completed a sponsored skydive on Sunday 17th June, representing Bluebird Care (Bedford) and raised over £660.
In total so far this year, Bluebird Care (Bedford) have raised over £1470 for Carers in Bedfordshire.
 
Carers in Bedfordshire is a not-for-profit registered charity who provides support for carers of family members and friends throughout Bedfordshire.
 
The money raised will go towards providing more support services across Bedfordshire including; counselling sessions and support groups for young carers, specialist dementia support groups and carers’ cafes, to name but a few. Carers in Bedfordshire’s aims are to ensure carers’ voices are heard and respected in the development and delivery of all services.
 
The support that Carers in Bedfordshire provides is a vital and important service and Bluebird Care (Bedford) are proud to support such a worthy cause.
