Published: 30/09/2021

Bluebird Care Bath & North East Somerset have recently kickstarted a new recruitment drive following the end of the government’s furlough scheme.

Bluebird Care Bath & North East Somerset is a home care provider, specialising in working with customers who live with dementia, physical disabilities, and many other acute and chronic conditions. Working alongside its customers’ families, social services, and the NHS, they ensure each person receives the care they need.

The award-winning home care provider is eager to extend employment opportunities to individuals across Bath & North East Somerset after an end to the scheme that has been in operation since March 2020, as well as offer new opportunities to those who have lost their job due to COVID-19.

Despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, Bluebird Care Bath & North East Somerset have continued to go from strength-strength, now reaching more vulnerable individuals across the region.

And, reflective of their growth, the home care provider is now recruiting up to 10 full time and part time roles, including Care Assistants and Live-in Care Assistants, in an effort to support as many vulnerable members of their community as possible.

With a number of fantastic benefits and perks, including a £100-£500 joining bonus, in addition to a flexible approach to work, and great career training and progression, Bluebird Care Bath & North East Somerset want to give those people who have endured a challenging time this past year an opportunity to reignite their career, irrespective of their experience in care.

When asked what type of people they are looking to recruit, Emily Naether, Marketing, Social Media and Recruitment Lead at the home care provider, said:

“We are looking to recruit caring, compassionate, and reliable people who are happy to go the extra mile for the members of their community. Being a Care Assistant with us doesn’t require previous experience, as we look for people who are ready to learn, adaptable, and want to make a difference. We appreciate the transferable skills that candidates can bring across into care with them. We have previously recruited from hospitality, retail, education, animal care, and health and beauty sectors.”

Wednesday Watson, HR & Recruitment Officer, added:

“We have a large demand of vulnerable people within our community who wish to return home, so the more we can recruit, the more people we can help. We know there are members of our community who will make wonderful Care Assistants and we really want to hear from them.”
