Carers Awards 2020

The time of the year has arrived in which we announce the winners of our annual Carers Awards...

October has been a month of celebration for us here at Bluebird Care Bristol, Bath & NE Somerset – which was so very needed after a busy year so far!

Earlier in the month you may have saw our post in which we bought each one of our care assistants a present each, to celebrate them and all their incredibly hard work during the pandemic, and because we couldn’t hold our annual summer fun day.

Additional to the presents, we held our yearly carers awards, this is an event in which we give our team of carers and our customers the opportunity to vote for the carers which they feel fall into each one of our categories. This was done anonymously, with postal votes sent for our customers and online votes set up for our care assistants, and this year we had our largest number of votes!

The categories for voting were Newcomer of the year, Most Kind & Caring, Over & Above, Most Outstanding, and the Happy, Cheery, Smiley Award. We picked these categories as we feel they are most representative of the way our care assistants provide care to their customers, and therefore the best way for them to be recognised.

After a few months of vote collection, the winners were ready to be announced, so our Area Business Manager Louise and Care Manager Claire created a video, which we recommend giving a watch by clicking the button at the bottom of this page!

Who won? 

Our Director Tim had some lovely words to say for all our care assistants:

“I'd like to congratulate Siti, Stacie and Natalia (plus all the other winners) who were voted for by their colleagues and our customers for the Bluebird Care awards this year. We had an amazing response with a high turnout for voting, it just goes to show how highly thought of you all are. It is very well deserved  - well done all of you! 

And for those of you who weren't close enough to win an award this year, you are all equally important to what we do and your efforts definitely do not go unnoticed. You are all appreciated and deserve as much praise as anyone. This has been such a difficult time for all everyone but thankfully you have all been doing your best and going above and beyond your duties every day. Thank you everyone!”
