We’re delighted to have been featured in the Ayr Advertiser following a recent unannounced inspection by the Care Inspectorate, which highlighted the strength and quality of our housing support service in Prestwick.
At the time of inspection, our team was supporting 36 individuals across Ayrshire, helping people maintain their independence while receiving safe, compassionate care in their own homes. Our Prestwick office also continues to serve as a welcoming hub for both staff and the people we support.
Strong Leadership and Positive Culture
The Ayr Advertiser coverage reflects the Care Inspectorate’s recognition of our strong leadership and clear governance. Roles and responsibilities across the service were described as well-defined, with leaders demonstrating a strong understanding of both care delivery and quality expectations.
Importantly, our team culture was also highlighted, with staff describing management as visible, approachable, and supportive. This positive environment helps empower our teams to provide the highest standard of care every day.
Delivering Person-Centred Care
We’re especially proud that the inspection recognised our commitment to person-centred care. Our staff were praised for delivering safe, tailored support that respects each individual’s needs, preferences, and goals.
Our workforce systems were also commended, including safe recruitment practices, structured training, and regular supervision. These ensure our teams feel confident, supported, and equipped to provide exceptional care.
High Standards in Planning and Support
The inspection also praised the quality of our care planning. Support plans were found to be detailed, up to date, and centred around each individual, helping ensure consistency and continuity in care.
Comprehensive risk assessments and thorough preparation further support our approach, allowing staff the time needed to fully understand each person before beginning care.
