Amy Russell - Registered Care Manager (Leading with compassion)
I have been with Bluebird Care for a total of 7 years, starting my journey as a Care Assistant in Guildford, Surrey. I was then promoted to the role of Customer Support Assistant within the office, and from there, I continued to grow and develop, ultimately advancing to the position of Care Manager at Bluebird Care, Ashford.
Care has always been a passion of mine, and I genuinely enjoy going to work every day, knowing that I’m making someone’s day a little easier—whether it’s supporting our staff, caring for customers, or assisting their families. Since starting at the age of 18, I have achieved far more than I ever imagined. I’ve completed specialist training in palliative care, oxygen training with Dolby, and gained valuable experience that allows me to confidently lead our team in providing high-quality care.
I’m proud to be part of a service that is well-equipped to meet the diverse care needs of the Ashford, Kent community.
Jo Cawdron - Care Supervisor/Trainer/Coordinator (Gets it done)
With over 10 years of experience in Health and Social Care, I began my career as a Carer and have since progressed to the role of Supervisor. Currently, I serve as the Coordinator and Trainer at Bluebird Care Ashford, where I take pride in recruiting new staff, conducting supervisions, spot checks, end-of-probation reviews, appraisals, and handling any incidents as part of the on-call team.
My qualifications include 'Train the Trainer' and a Level 5 in Management and Leadership, and I recently became a Dementia Friend. I'm always eager to expand my knowledge and skill set to better serve our team and clients.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and two dogs, going on holidays, shopping, and having fun evenings out with friends.
I am deeply passionate about training and mentoring new staff members, helping them grow and succeed as care experts within the company.
Katie Ingleton (Customer Supervisor – The Care Champion)
With over 25 years of experience in the care sector, my journey began at the age of 15 when I worked as a cleaner in a care home. Over the course of 21 years, I progressed to the role of Care Expert and then Senior Care Expert, completing my NVQ Levels 2 and 3 along the way. During this time, I gained extensive experience working with individuals living with dementia.
After leaving the care home, I worked in two other care settings before transitioning to a private ambulance company, where I completed my FREC3 training. I joined Bluebird Care just over a year ago, initially as a Care Expert before applying for the position of Customer Supervisor.
Outside of work, I am a proud mother of three and enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. I love going for walks in parks or by the beach, appreciating the outdoors during my downtime.
In my current role, I take great satisfaction in visiting customers for reviews and assessments, ensuring we provide the best possible care.
Sohpie Bambury (Marketing Associate - Creative Catalyst)
I am thrilled to have recently joined the Bluebird Care Ashford team! I’ve returned to the care field, which holds a special place in my heart as it was my first full-time job many years ago. With this prior experience, I’m excited to reconnect with the community and make a positive impact.
I love meeting new people and hearing about their lives and experiences—I'm a great listener and enjoy the fascinating stories that others share. My role here is dynamic; I spend my time visiting our current clients, providing office support, and engaging in local marketing initiatives. This variety allows me to experience the best of both worlds.
I am passionate about spreading the word about the help and support we can offer at Bluebird Care Ashford.
