Bluebird Care has won the 'The Home Care Coordinator Award' at the national Great British Care Awards 2015. Bluebird Care Winchester & Eastleigh's Daniel Landridge, who won the South East Regional Award, continued his award winning success by scooping the national award at one of the most prestigious awards ceremonies in the care sector supported by Adult Directors of Social Services (ADASS), Care England, Department of Health, National Skills Academy for Social Care and the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE). The purpose of the awards is to promote best practice within the home care sector, and pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work. Bluebird Care, this year sponsoring 'The Home Care Registered Manager Award', had no fewer than 11 finalists competing for 10 of the 17 awards categories up for grabs by the sectors' very best people

Bluebird Care's chief operating officer said:

"We feel it is extremely important to celebrate the excellent work in our sector and to congratulate those who set standards of excellence.  We also welcome the opportunity to balance the negative perception of homecare often portrayed by the media by recognising those successfully shortlisted. By continuing to support the sixth Great British Care Awards, we would once again like to congratulate the winners, finalists and everyone in our sector who consistently and professionally deliver the very best care to people in our society who need care and support in their home."
