What we do

Bluebird Care Plymouth and South Hams opened in Spring 2012. We are part of the successful Bluebird Care network which has over 130 offices in the UK and Ireland and will be providing a full range of care services from shopping and companionship to full personal care to the Plymouth and South Hams area. We offer a range of visit times from a 15 minute pop in to 24 hour live-in care. All of the office and business aspects of Bluebird Care (Plymouth and South Hams) are managed by Alexander Allan and Emma Cahill. The Bluebird Care philosophy is to provide good old-fashioned service. We aim to provide the kind of care that we would want our loved ones to receive so that you or your loved one can remain in their own homes whilst maintaining their dignity.

We are all passionate about delivering high quality care with an excellent level of service. We believe this is achieved by aligning a rigorous recruitment process with the presence of an experienced management team in the office to ensure that we are always available to speak with our customers about their care needs and experience with us at Bluebird Care.

NEWS

APRIL 2012 - Office Opening

The Bluebird Care (Plymouth & South Hams) office was very please to open its doors in April 2012. We were very lucky to have MP Gary Streeter there for the opening and he also joined us for a forum about 'Care in the community'.

For the forum, we were also joined by representatives from Age UK Plymouth, the Alzheimer's Society, the Stroke Association, A4e, Devon County Council, WRVS and Devon Senior Voice. Due to popular demand, we are please to say that we will be holding this forum on a quarterly basis.

For more details about the opening, you can read the article on thisisdevon.co.uk.

MARCH 2012 - Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal

Alexander and Emma donned Marie Curie’s wonderfully bright and fun yellow hats to collect for the Great Daffodil Appeal, held annually in March. The Marie Curie nurses can then use the proceeds from the Daffodil Appeal to provide free care to terminally ill people. We were very proud to be part of the collections that were running throughout March in Plymouth.

The local Plymouth Group was set up five months ago and since starting, has raised a staggering £10,000. We raise our hats to the group who work incredibly hard for a cause that is close to all of our hearts.
