About Bluebird Care (East Herts)
We provide domiciliary care services. The ethos of Bluebird Care is Good Old-Fashioned Service with a “can do” attitude, which has been built around a passion to deliver high quality care and an excellent level of service and we insist this in our day-to-day activities.
We are proud of our work ethic, which is to provide our customers with the type of care that we would expect to have ourselves. Not only do we provide high quality care in the comfort of our customer’s own home, we also provide excellent, open and honest advise to our customer.
What We Do
Our aim is to allow our customers to maintain their independence and dignity by putting together a bespoke care package, which allows them to remain in their own homes safely and holistically. We offer a range of visit times from a 15 minute pop-in to 24 hour live-in care
We offer care services to older adults and adults with disabilities. Our services are individually tailored to meet each customer’s requirements.
Our Staff and Recruitment Process
We recruit Care Workers who are able to meet the needs of our customers. All of our staff are CRB / DBS checked, trained and regularly supervised. Our staff are of the highest caliber and we make sure they are trained to the highest standards to provide the best possible service. Carer Workers are encouraged to train up to NVQ level 2 and they spend time shadowing experienced carers to learn the Bluebird Care methods and practices.

Our customers are vulnerable people who have chosen to receive care in the comfort of their own homes.
Our personal care includes:
- Personal Care & Hygiene
- Help getting up and going to bed
- Assistance with washing and dressing
- Assistance with getting into the bath or shower
- Assistance with going to the toilet
- Assistance with meal preparation
- Assistance with medication
- Assistance with mobility
- Assistance with personal laundry and ironing
- Assistance with cleaning the home and basic household chores
- Assistance with going or getting your shopping
- Over night care
Customers may purchase their care through a variety of routes including Direct Payments or from personal funds and we are acutely aware that our customers are vulnerable people who have chosen to receive care in the comfort of their own homes and are committed to providing high quality care and value for money.
Each care package is person specific with highly flexible and well monitored care visits ranging from as short as 15 minutes to 24 hours a day.

Funding your care

Direct Payments - Great Flexibility and Control
A direct payment is:
- Money for you to arrange your own support.
- Greater flexibility, choice and control over the support you receive and how you receive it.
- A way that you can use a personal budget to meet your needs.

- A direct payment is not a benefit and is different from the Department of Work and Pensions 'Direct Payments'
- It is not a form of income and should not be regarded as such.
You can have a direct payment if:
- You are eligible to receive a personal budget.
- You are willing and able to manage how the money is spent or know someone who can manage the money on your behalf.

We have arranged Bluebird Care (East Herts) for double up calls, 3 times a day, 7 days a week. I am very happy & pleased with the quality of the services and would definitely recommend."

Bluebird Care, in hands with Age Concern held a Community Awareness event this month.
There was music, food, fun and bingo. It was great to give people awareness about the possible kind of support they can have from Bluebird Care.
