Bluebird Care (East & Midlothian) covers all towns in the council areas of East Lothian and Midlothian. This ranges from Dunbar in the East to Penicuik in the West.

What we do

Our office opened in August 2011. At Bluebird Care (East and Midlothian), we aim to be friendly and approachable, whilst always maintaining a very professional and customer focused attitude. We realise that making decisions about care can seem very daunting. The need for care can often arise at a stressful time, for example, when you or a loved one has been ill. Or perhaps, it has been getting increasingly difficult for you or a loved one to manage at home and you are thinking that some help may now be needed. We hope that when our customers pick up the phone to us, that our friendly and warm manner will make them feel reassured.
 
Whatever your circumstances are, the team at Bluebird Care (East and Midlothian) understand that choosing care can sometimes feel very confusing and we would like to help make this process as simple and plain as possible for you.  We realise that when you choose our service, you are entrusting yourself, or a loved one to our care and we take this responsibility very seriously. Being a family run business, we aim to personally ensure that all our customers receive care to the same high quality standard which we would expect for a member of our own family.
 
At Bluebird Care (East and Mid Lothian), we take an honest and no nonsense approach with our customers. We avoid using confusing jargon and speak plainly to you about your options. Our customers are always at the centre of everything that we do.

e-mail our office for further information. Usually, the next step is for us to come and visit you at a time which is convenient to talk about the assistance that you may need. Rest assured that there is no obligation to commence any of our services, visits are designed to help you and you will never feel pressurised into making any decisions. We very much welcome family members or friends to be part of this discussion if desired. We will help you ‘demystify’ the process of choosing care and support you to decide the best way forward for your individual circumstances.
 
Our Care visits start from 15 minutes or for as long as 24 hour live-in care, we offer a flexible service, helping to ensure that you will only pay for the time that you need.

• Assistance with moving around the house
• Help to prepare meals

• Cleaning the house
• Outings
• Short Breaks for Carers (Respite Care)

Who can receive the service?

Bluebird Care (East and Midlothian) works with adults.  We can work with adults who have any kind of health condition or disability. This includes older people, physically disabled people and people with a learning disability or mental health issues.
