Why choose live-in care?

Live-in care provides continuity with a familiar face, a familiar routine and in your most familiar environment - your own home.

Our highly-trained care assistants are experienced in providing care and support for customers with a wide-range of needs; from companionship to high-dependency packages, from basic needs to facilitating interests and hobbies.

Our live-in care assistants build and develop strong relationships with their customers and encourage independence and interests to be continued as long as possible.

A live-in care package also enables friends and family to take a break from their caring roles, enabling them to spend quality time with their loved ones.

**Care will be provided by more than 1 care assistant over a 24hr period.

How can we help you?

At Bluebird Care our live-in care service is tailored to each individual based on your own needs and requirements, allowing you to remain in your own home with your loved ones. No two days are the same and you can enjoy outings and social visits when it suits you, rather than arranged trips that might happen in residential care settings.

We offer a range of services as part of our live-in care:

  • Companionship
  • Personal care
  • Managing medication
  • Meal preparation
  • Housekeeping
  • Social outings
  • Support with your pets
  • Give family members/carer a break (respite care).

We also offer a type of care called 'reverse live-in' where the care assistant lives in with the customer and is awake at night and sleeps in the day. Reverse live-in is a type of care that is valuable to those who suffer with restless sleep or 'sundowning'. Sundowning refers to a state of confusion an individual experiences in the late afternoon and spanning into the night. Sundowning can cause a variety of behaviours, such as confusion, anxiety, aggression or ignoring directions. In this situation, having someone available at night to assist, reassure and settle the individual is key. More information about sundowning and dementia can be found on the Alzheimers website: alzheimers.org.uk
