A flexible service

We offer a realistic alternative
to allow people to stay at home, with familiar friends, relatives and possessions around them. No upheaval. No stress.
No trouble.

The whole decision to join the network just seemed right to us. We liked the business model, and the support that the company offered. Having sought care for a family member, we knew about the poor standards of care in the market and how important it is to offer great customer service.

What our franchise owners say

John and Jane PerryJohn and Jane Perry, Bluebird Care Edinburgh

Since joining Bluebird Care in December 2007, John and Jane Perry, pictured right, have won a string of Bluebird Care awards including the recent Franchise of the Year award 2011. Based in Edinburgh, John originally worked in sales while Jane worked as an accountant. After facing a series of redundancies in their careers, they decided to explore options for starting their own business, using their work experience and expertise to find an opportunity in a recession proof sector.

Jane says

We did a lot of research. It was obvious from the ageing population figures that there was a market opportunity in care. We looked at several care franchise companies but were really impressed on meeting with Simon Dalziel and Paul Tarsey, Directors of Bluebird Care and the whole decision to join the network just seemed right to us. We liked the business model, and the support that the company offered. Having sought care for a family member, we knew about the poor standards of care in the market and how important it is to offer great customer service.

We’re pleased to say that our business is thriving, and we now have a great core team of 120 care workers working for our Edinburgh office. The job satisfaction comes from knowing you are making a difference; putting a smile on customer’s faces and receiving some great feedback and notes from satisfied customers. We’re looking ahead to more success in 2012, building our customer base and growing the business.

Ian and Anne InglisIan and Anne Inglis – Bluebird Care Slough and South Bucks

Anne & Ian Inglis, (pictured left) Directors of the Slough & South Bucks office were recently celebrating having been announced as the winner of one of our coveted Franchise of the Year regional awards. They opened their Bluebird Care office in Summer 2009. As a result of their enthusiasm for the challenge and some 'good old fashioned' hard work, they became established very quickly despite some early challenges within their local market in a climate of reduced Local Authority budgets. As Anne says,

‘Before joining Bluebird Care, we were both working long hours, and doing lots of travelling, in large American owned companies. Whilst it was what we knew, we weren’t getting the fulfillment from our jobs that we really desired. In short, we were seeking a rewarding lifestyle change. We looked in other directions but felt that none of them offered us the compelling opportunity 'to give something back' that we believed we had with Bluebird Care. We now have a superior quality of life in terms of work/life balance and we are firmly focused on growing our service within our community in the months and years ahead. A decision we wish we had made sooner, for sure.

It is a privilege to be actively involved, on a day to day basis, in assisting people to live comfortably and happily in their own homes, and giving their families the peace of mind that comes with knowing that their loved ones are in the compassionate, caring hands of our dedicated care staff'

Paul and Kate Barry

Paul and Kate Barry, Bluebird Care, Chichester, Reigate, Sutton, Epsom & Kingston

Paul and Kate (pictured right) opened their first Bluebird Care office in Chichester in April 2010. Based on their success in West Sussex, they have since opened two further Bluebird Care offices in Reigate and Sutton and acquired a fourth office in Epsom and Kingston.  Before Paul joined Bluebird Care, he was a Manager in IBM Businesss Consulting, responsible for developing and managing the consulting streams for Banking and UK Risk Management.

Speaking after receiving the Bluebird Care Regional Franchise of the Year award for the South East, Paul said,

I was seeking a new opportunity to run my own business, and looked at the franchise market. I was particularly attracted to Bluebird Care for three reasons; the size of the UK care market, the strength of the Bluebird Care brand and the ability of their business model to be resilient in tough economic conditions. When I joined, I found the support and training offered by Bluebird Care to be very strong, particularly in the early days when all the care terminology plus policies and procedures can be new and slightly bewildering. We’ve enjoyed considerable success since launching our business, and I would measure this on the size of our long standing customer base, the quality of our care staff and the strength of our office management team. I can honestly say that our time with Bluebird Care has been extremely busy, but very rewarding, and it’s allowed me to develop my own management skills significantly.
