A growing team
Since the franchise operation launched in June 2006, Bluebird Care has opened one new office on average every 15 days.
Having previously run a successful business, we knew how important it was to start a new business in a growth sector. There are few areas growing faster than care provision, and few companies as well equipped as Bluebird Care to meet demand, Paul Haylings & Chris Kendrick-Jones, Bluebird Care (Tamworth & Lichfield)

Frequently asked questions
Our Franchise Recruitment Manager, Annetta Doyle, answers some of your questions about franchising.
Do I need relevant experience of the care sector to join Bluebird Care?
Many of our franchise owners do not have prior care experience but all share an empathy with what we do and the importance of providing a high quality care service.
We seek franchise owners with commitment, drive and enthusiasm for the business, rather than searching for relevant experience. We will teach you the care industry.
Do I need to know how to run a business?
One of the great things about joining a franchise is that you will learn how to run a business, with help and support from someone who knows your business inside out.
Some of our franchise owners have previously run businesses but many come from a corporate background. Bluebird Care provides full training to become a Bluebird Care franchise owner. You provide the effort, enthusiasm and motivation to succeed.
What would be my role in the business?
The Bluebird Care business model is very specific about individuals’ roles within the business. The franchise owner’s role is business development and you will employ staff to cover the more specific care management roles.
What is the growth potential of a Bluebird Care franchise?
The Bluebird Care business model has been developed with modern systems and ideas to meet both current and future markets. The opportunities in every area are huge – everyone knows someone who needs care and it is impossible to saturate the local market.
The business can build to as big as you want it to be!
What is your franchise recruitment procedure?
Once you have received your franchise information pack if you would like to look at the opportunity in more detail, we will invite you to our office in Petersfield, Hampshire. During this initial meeting we will explain the business to you and answer the questions you have. You will also meet members of the support Team and understand what owning a Bluebird Care franchise is all about.
Next Steps
Call us on 01730 26 00 26 or get in touch with us here for a comprehensive information pack and an invitation to meet us to find out more.
If we then mutually agree to continue your interest you will conduct your own research into the opportunity and we would be happy for you to speak to any of our existing franchise owners.
Can I work from home?
The business is not a home based opportunity. All Bluebird Care businesses run from an office located within the Franchise territory.
How much money will I need to set up a Bluebird Care business?
The total investment required will be £95K-£110K. We enjoy an excellent relationship with HSBC, NatWest/RBS and Lloyds TSB, who are all willing to lend up to 70% of the total investment required.
Therefore you will contribute 30% as your stake in the investment requirement. This means you will need a liquid capital (IE un-borrowed funds) of £30K-£35K.
