What we do
We are part of the successful Bluebird Care network which has over 100 offices in the UK and Ireland. The Bluebird Care (Exeter) office is owned and operated by William and Sara Flint. We are assisted in the day to day management of the service by our Care Manager, Supervisor and Coordinator. Between us we have over 40 years of working in health and social care services in managerial and clinical roles.
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to maintain their independence and be able to remain in their own homes. We believe in ‘Good old fashioned service’. Our "can do" attitude is built around a passion for high quality care and an unprecedented level of service. Bluebird Care Exeter was awarded the position of “Finalist” as one of three companies nominated in the Exeter Business Awards 2012 for “Excellence in Customer Care”.
The glittering awards night took place at Exeter Chiefs Rugby Ground, Sandy Park, and was attended by over 300 local and regional businesses.
Sara Flint Director of Bluebird Care Exeter said, ‘We are naturally delighted with our progress this year. To receive the Exeter Business Award for our level of customer care, this is the icing on the cake’. ‘Every day we are supporting vulnerable people in their own homes and to be recognised for our hard work in Customer Care is fantastic.’
William Flint Director said, "Our approach to care at home is based on 'good old fashioned service', or put simply, providing our customers a service we would want our own family to receive. Our dedicated team will of course continue to work hard to ensure standards remain high and consistent and that customers receive the very best support at home. We are very excited by our continued success and feel very positive for the year ahead."
October 2011 - Bluebird Care Exeter and Exmouth announced as the winner of the company’s coveted Newcomer of the Year 2011 award
William and his wife Sara received the award at a glittering gala dinner and awards ceremony attended by over 100 Bluebird Care Franchise Owners .
The Newcomer of the Year award is presented to the team that has demonstrated strong business growth, generating consistent results and momentum in marketing, operations and importantly high standards of care service provision. Excellent management skills and a customer-focused approach to the business were also vital components in the assessment.
William and Sara launched their Bluebird Care business in March 2011 and now have over 60 customers and 20 staff.
Speaking of the announcement, Paul Tarsey, Managing Director of Bluebird Care said, ‘This is our fifth annual conference and we have seen the numbers of Franchise Owners increase significantly year on year. I’m delighted to present this award to William, Sara and their team. It is a great tribute to the work of the Bluebird Care team in Exeter and Exmouth and their commitment to a quality care service’.
William said, "We are naturally very pleased to have received this award. Our approach to Home Care is based on 'good old fashioned service', or put mostly simply providing our customers a service we would want our own family to receive. The feedback locally has been very good, so receiving this prestigious award from our peers is the icing on the cake."
