Our Customer Process

Looking for care can be a daunting process but it doesn't need to be. Here at Bluebird Care Edinburgh, we make the process as simple yet informative as possible.

At Bluebird Care Edinburgh, we understand that looking for home care can be a stressful and daunting experience, but not here. We like to keep things simple and straightforward, ensuring you're up to date each step of the way.

  1. Get in touch to make your initial enquiry giving us a brief overview of what you need from us.
  2. We’ll get you booked in for an assessment with our supervisor, so that we can come and visit you to learn more about your requirements in person. A family member or friend can attend this assessment with you.
  3. We’ll attend a meeting in your home where we’ll go through what times you would like, what days, what you need help with, your mobility, sensory, issues and anxiety. Our aim is to get to know you better so that we can create a care plan that suits your needs and budget.
  4. Our supervisor will take the information provided during the assessment to create your custom care plan. Your supervisor will be on hand to support you with onboarding and throughout your journey with us.
  5. Once we have mutually agreed on the care plan, it will be delivered exactly as agreed. Our whole ethos is built around providing ‘good old-fashioned service’ that puts the heart back into home care. We will contact you regularly to ensure you are happy with the service you are receiving, and review.

You will always know who is coming to deliver your care and we will keep you informed of any changes as and when necessary.

Care needs change regularly; we regularly review care plans and adapt to ensure we meet customers need and support.

The likelihood of one care assistant helping a person 7 days a week is not realistic, and this will form part of our discussion at assessment, where we can discuss viable alternatives such as, perhaps live-in care.

We have a mix of both full and part-time staff, the vast majority of which, work alternative weekends. But what we can tell you is that we keep your team of Care Assistants to a minimum to ensure that you have a strong continuity of care. It is important that you can build relationships with your team so that you feel comfortable, and our team can pick up on any changes in your health.

We appreciate that everybody is different, there is no ‘one size fits all’, So please contact us to discuss your requirements.
