Bluebird Care Bradford North covers as the name suggests the areas of Bradford North and the Aire Valley. North Bradford covers the highly populated districts of Undercliffe and Bolton, Eccleshill, Idle, Thackley, Wrose, Windhill, Heaton, Baildon and Shipley where our offices are located. The Aire Valley is more rural in nature and is made up of small towns and villages. These include Keighley, Bingley, Ilkley, Menston, Burley in Wharfedale, Addingham, Silsden and Steeton.

To keep you in your own home giving you the care that you deserve. We really are a realistic alternative to residential care

The office located in Shipley town centre, an ideal central location, received its Care Quality Commission registration on the 6th of January 2010 and we were actually giving care to our first customer on the morning of the following day. A very hectic and important first step but also a very rewarding time for the huge effort our staff had made in making sure everything was ready on time.

The services provided from our local office will include but will be not limited to the following customer groups:

  • Elderly people
  • Adults with physical disabilities
  • Adults with sensory impairment
  • People with dementia
  • People with learning difficulties
  • People discharged from hospital with re-enablement or temporary care needs
  • People living with a terminal illness or life limiting condition

We have recently talked with the Motor Neurone Disease Association and as a result we are now able to provide care for people with this condition. We are also starting to specialise in Dementia and Learning difficulties. What this means is that we give specialist training to our staff that goes a lot deeper into these medical conditions than would be normal.

Our ultimate goal is that our training will be so specialised in these areas we can provide specialist task forces to enable us to help people with these conditions and also to provide support to their families in their hour of need. This depth of support will be available from our offices very soon.

In effect our aim is to start with the customer as an individual with strengths , preferences and aspirations and put them at the centre of the process of identifying their needs and making choices about what, who, how and when they are supported to live their lives.

We hope as a team to bring to the people of Bradford and Airedale a class of service that more than meets their requirements at a level that is second to none.
