Meet the team

Charlotte

Registered Manager

Charlotte enrolled to study Midwifery and the University of Bedfordshire in 2011, though she soon realised that this wasn’t the career for her. She still wanted to work in the health care sector, however, which is how she came to join Bluebird Care as a Care Assistant in 2012.

Charlotte joined the office team as a Care Coordinator in 2013, responsible for organising her customers/carers weekly schedules – a fast-paced role which she enjoyed as it kept her on her toes whilst retaining contact with her favourite customers. Juggling her obligations to both her customers and her carers can be challenging at times, but she finds it extremely rewarding knowing that she is key to giving customers the Continuity of Care they expect and deserve. After a brief spell with a local competitor, Charlotte is happy to be part of the Bluebird Care family again.

Since returning to Bluebird care in Late 2019 Charlotte progressed to Deputy Manager before becoming Registered Manager in December 2022. Charlotte enjoys the new challenges in her role of Care Manager. Charlottes is extremely passionate about delivering high quality homecare to people within the local community and is proud to be part of the Bluebird Care Sevenoaks team.

Outside of work Charlotte is a keen fisher woman and is a proud member of the England Ladies Coarse Fishing Team, winning a "Team Bronze" medal at the World Championship in South Africa in 2019!

Amy

Care Supervisor

Amy started her career with Bluebird Care Sevenoaks in 2017. She was first introduced to Bluebird Care when another local office was caring for her Nan, and this positive image was reinforced when she became acquainted with member of the Sevenoaks team whilst working for a local retailer.

Amy was successful in the application she submitted to join the care team herself shortly after. She’s clocked up several years’ experience since and is now loving getting to grips with all that happens behind the scenes to make the service she used to provide possible.

Amy’s primary role is in providing oversight and support to her former colleagues on the care team, though she also enjoys the interaction with the customers she meets, the feeling of achievement she gets through knowing she’s playing her part in keeping them living independently at home – and of course the big smiles on their faces when she visits!

She has found the team to be incredibly supportive over the years, and is thrilled to have stepped up into an administrative role in the office, as part of which she has completed an NVQ level 3 in Adult Social Care and is now working towards achieveing her Level 5.

She would whole-heartedly recommend Bluebird Care Sevenoaks to anyone already working in the sector or looking for change of career, and describes her decision to join us as “the best thing [she’s] ever done!”

Sarah

Care Supervisor

Sarah joined Bluebird Care Sevenoaks in 2021 as Care Supervisor, Sarah comes with many years of experience in the care sector, working in both residential settings and domiciliary care.

Sarahs passion is with domiciliary care, it means that our customer can remain in their own homes and surrounded by their memories. Our carers are able to spend quality time with their customers allowing a person-centred care delivery.

Sarah loves meeting new people, she loves getting to really know them, hearing their stories and learning about their lives. Sarah spends time writing detailed care plans following the wishes and preferences of her customers always ensuring their safety and autonomy.

‘I love working for Bluebird Care as I feel they actually do care about their customers and their carers. I feel part of a real team’

Sarah has a busy home life, she is recently married and has 3 sons and 1 daughter. Her 5 grandchildren bring so much joy and keeps her on her toes.

Krystal

Care Coordinator

Krystal studied Health and Social Care at secondary school as part of her GCSEs. She enjoyed it so much that she then went onto complete a Level 3 Health and Social Care Diploma at West Kent College, she finished college in the summer of 2021.

Part of her course was to carry out work experience within a care home. This is where she decided  she wanted to work within the care industry.

Krystal started her journey with Bluebird Care as an administrator in January of 2022 and progressed to Care Coordinator in July 2023, Krystal says ‘I really enjoy the fast pace and challenges that this role brings.’ Krystal finds her role very rewarding, as much as it is challenging at times, she feels a real sense of job satisfaction knowing that her carers and customers are happy.

Leah

Operations Manager

Leah is an ex-Registered Nurse and was our Coordinator and Deputy Manager from 2011-2018, and Registered Manager at our sister branch in Bromley from 2020-2022.

Leah is a natural leader who is well-liked and who enjoys universal respect right across our organisation, so was the natural choice when we decided to appoint an Operations Manager in mid-2022, tasked with overseeing the Care operations of our 3 businesses (Bromley, Sevenoaks, Lewisham & Southwark), ensuring alignment of process and adherence to policies in order to deliver an outstanding level of Care.

Leah loves the “family feel” of the business, the camaraderie amongst her teams, and the satisfaction that comes with knowing that their collective efforts make a real difference to people’s lives. She relishes the responsibility, challenges and learning opportunties that come with being the manager of the Registered Managers of 3 regulated services!

She’s a strong advocate of continued professional development and describes the training regime in place as “the best I’ve experienced throughout my career”, and feels that the continuity and retention rate within the current team speaks for itself.

She would highly recommend Bluebird Care Sevenoaks to anyone looking for a Home Care service or thinking of a career in Care!

Becky

Marketing Manager

Becky's career in the Care sector began in 2007 as a Support Worker working with adults with challenges around their mental health, including dementia.

With this experience Becky joined Bluebird Care Sevenoaks as a Care Assistant shortly after the office opened in 2012. Within a year, Becky's excellent work with customers earned her progression to Supervisor level, a role she enjoyed immensely. With a change in management in 2018, Becky was promoted to Deputy Manager and became Registered Care Manager herself less than a year later.

After having a child and getting married Becky has taken on the role of Marketing Manager. She believes passionately in the Bluebird Care ethos. She has really enjoyed the variety of her roles as well as the occasional challenges and looks forward to a new role within Bluebird Care.

Becky continues to take great pride in being part of a team that not only provides a first-class service enabling vulnerable adults to remain living independently in their own homes, but who also offers fantastic career opportunities to anyone wanting to join the Bluebird Care team.
