On Saturday 22nd August we attended the annual Estuary League of Friends "Topsham to Turf Ferryman's Swim"
On Saturday we attended the annual Estuary League of Friends "Topsham to Turf Ferryman's Swim"
It was a 1.5 mile open water course across the choppy and ever so slightly mucky waters of the Exe Estuary!
The swimmers were welcomed with hot chocolates and dry clothes at the Turf Lock Hotel after they completed the swim.
It was great to meet and talk with so many of the swimmers, from keen amateur athletes to one lady who swam as part of her Hen Do!!
We will share soon how much sponsorship was raised but it was a fantastic day, graced with beautiful sunshine and a buzzing atmosphere.
